SEMI-CUSTOM ORDER GUIDE  

 

This guide is designed to help answer any questions you may have about the semi-custom design process. It will also cover all the options you have for paper, colours, calligraphy styles, and text, as well as a guide to choosing your wording. Please read it thoroughly before submitting your order.

1. HOW IT WORKS

 

One: Select your suite and fill out the details in regards to style / colour / wording etc. Items such as envelope addressing, wax seals, finest twine & details card may be added on via the Embellish page.

Two: Complete your purchase via the checkout. After your purchase, you will receive an email confirming your order.

Three: Within 7 business days from payment, you will receive the first proof, based on the wording given in the initial submission process. From there, one digital review is included for minor changes to text and calligraphy. Any additional edits after this will incur a flat fee of $60. Please take your time reviewing your proof to make sure all names, dates & locations are spelt correctly.

Four: Once the design is agreed upon you will receive a final colour proof, which you will need to approve before the printing process can begin. Please note, no further changes can be made once your approval is given. 

Five: On approval, goods are sent to print. This will take around 3 weeks. Please allow an additional 2 weeks if you are adding on embellishments, such as addressed envelopes, wax seals etc. 

Six: You will receive an invoice for shipping, payable before goods are mailed. See below for shipping estimates, or contact me directly if you need a firmer idea.

Seven: Your final suite will be mailed via tracked New Zealand Courier Post. Approximate delivery for NZ is 2-4 working days, anywhere else worldwide is 4-8 working days. 


2. OPTIONS

 

 

PAPER TYPE:

Handmade Paper (300gsm) CREAM

This paper is a fine art Italian paper with a soft felt finish. The deckled edges are obtained by naturally & carefully tearing the sheets, an ancient method which dates back to the XIV century.

Luxe Textured Cut edged card (350gsm) OFF WHITE

This paper is a luxurious thick cut edged paper with a delicate surface texture.

QUANTITY: 

Quantities of between 50-150 are currently available, in increments of 25. If you require more than 150, please touch base with me for a custom quote. 

It's wise to order 10-15 more than you require, for last minute guests you may wish to invite, photographs and as keepsakes. When working out your quantity, keep in mind that couples, and households (if applicable) will only require one invitation between them. 

NB: An extra 10% of envelopes will be given with your order. If you should require more than this, please inquire for costs. 

 

 

CALLIGRAPHY STYLE:

FONT:

 

The Serif Font

Features small flourish's on the ends of some stokes, giving it a slightly old world feel.

The Sans Serif Font

Features smooth rounded curves for a simplistic modern look.

 

 

COLOURS: 

Ink:

You have the option between the following ink colours, or, if you wish to choose your own, select 'other' then leave a colour description at the bottom of the submission form.

 

Envelope:

Select one of the four following colour options. Envelopes are 120gsm, featuring a V back flap.

NB: You will receive an additional 10% of envelopes with your order.


3. COMMON QUESTIONS

 

What currency do you quote/charge in? I am based in New Zealand - costs are in NZD. 

Are postage stamps included? No, you will need to source these yourself. I would suggest taking a finished suite to the Post Shop to check postage costs before purchasing stamps. 

How long will the process take from start to finish? Generally from first form submission to finished goods at your door, it shouldn't be longer than around 6 weeks (NZ) or 7 weeks (other locations). Though this will also depend on how quickly get back to me with feedback for proof rounds.You'll need to allow an additional 2 weeks if you are including embellishments such as envelope addressing.

I need my order quick, can you rush it? This will depend on my work load at that time, however if I am able to, I will. Rush fee's may apply. NB: Rush orders are not actually rushed, but rather brought forward in the queue.

Can I order a sample before committing? Yes, limited samples are available for each suite. You will receive the following from your chosen suite: Save the Date card, Main Invitation, Details card, RSVP card, X1 outer envelopes, alternate paper sample. The cost is $30.00 + shipping. These sample kits are pre-made, as seen in photographs of suites, you won't be able to customise colours/papers and don't include envelope addressing. Please email me to arrange.

What if I want to do my replies via email or website? No worries! Just purchase the 2-piece suite and add on a details card for your reply information

Can you source Silk ribbons for me? Yes! These will soon be available in an online format. In the meantime feel free to contact me directly to arrange. 

Do you have matching On the Day details to the Semi-Custom suites? Not currently in an online format, however if you would like to include the same design elements from your suite into your On the Day details, this can definitely be done. Keep in mind that all custom work needs to be booked well in advance.

What other goods do you offer? Menus, place cards, escort cards, custom signage & order of service booklets. Ask me for a Price Guide if you are interested.

4. SHIPPING ESTIMATES & TIMEFRAMES 

 

Shipping within NZ

Goods are sent via tracked NZ Courier Post. Please use safest delivery address (often a work address is best).

Allow 3-5 working days for delivery. 

$15-25 approx.

 

Rest of world

Goods are sent via tracked NZ Courier Post. Please use safest delivery address (often a work address is best).

Allow 8-10 working days for delivery.

$25-90 approx. (Costs are dictated by weight and location)

 


5. WORDING SAMPLES

 

Invitation wording helps to set the tone of the day - as well as pass on important details to your guests about who, when, where, and of course why. These are suggestions, but feel free to create your own versions.

4. DIGITIAL ONLY DESIGNS 

 

For a limited time only, digital design files may be purchased for a portion of the cost of full suite design. These files will be delivered as print ready, digitised files, provided as PDF. 

These may be printed how you wish - e.g. at home or via a local printery (suggested print methods are: digital printing, letterpress printing or foil press printing)

Allow up to 3-4 weeks for final design files.

The first proof will be provided within 10 days from payment, based on the wording given in the initial submission process. From there, one digital review is included for minor changes to text and calligraphy. Any additional edits after this will incur a flat fee of $60. Please take your time reviewing your proof to make sure all names, dates & locations are spelt correctly.

Under no circumstances may artwork be repurposed in any form, nor may derivative works be made. Aside from your chosen printery, this file may not be passed on to any third party.
